2006 Sauvignon Blanc, Cedar Lane Vineyard, Arroyo Seco
Sourced from the cool-climate appellation of Arroyo Seco, Cedar Lane Vineyard is planted in the well-drained cobblestone soils deposited at the mouth of Arroyo Seco Canyon in Monterey County. Distinctive climatic conditions ensure vibrant fruit character with crisp acidity, essential elements in styling a classic version of this exotically aromatic white wine. Barrel Fermented in the time-honored tradition of the white wines of Bordeaux's Graves District, and aged sur lie for several months, our Sauvignon Blanc receives regular battonage imparting a supple texture to the finish. Our first vineyard designated SB is intended for immediate consumption, and partners well with shrimp, shellfish and grilled summer vegetables.

2005 Primal
Our boldest red blend highlighting the sheer power of Central Coast Syrah with the classic robust flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon. Nearly opaque, this wine showcases ripe fruit components in a super-densely structured, seamless blend, with aromatic notes of deep boysenberry and blueberry giving way to chocolate, black cherry and hints of cassis.

2005 Merlot
Vibrant notes of cherry-vanilla in the aroma of this fruit-forward wine lead to boldly structured tannins on the palate. These tannins have slowly melted away during 30 months aging in oak, a deeply pigmented red plum and black cherry-flavor, with elegant body and a warm, spicy-berry finish.

2005 The Closer
Hand harvested by my wife Debra, and I on December 20, 2005 from 100% botrytis grapes. After nearly 16 months of fermentation, followed by another 14 months barrel aging, the wine was clarified then bottled in spring 2008. With its exuberant notes of honey and apricot nectar, this lovely dessert wine is the perfect Closing to a special evening

2005 Chardonnay, Santa Maria Valley
This Chardonnay is sourced from the Santa Maria Valley, from select blocks of specific Dijon clones that inherently retain ripe pear and lush apple flavor character, as well as dynamic aromatic perfume. The whole-cluster, hand-picked fruit in this wine was sourced exclusively from the highly-regarded Byron Vineyard. It was gently pressed, then barrel-fermented in 50% new French oak, utilizing native yeast. This time-honored method results in wines with crisp acidity, bold flavor intensity, and a soft, viscous texture, ensuring a uniquely satisfying Chardonnay experience. Very limited production.

2004 Syrah, Paso Robles
Our 2004 Syrah was sourced from Orchid Hill Vineyard on Paso Robles’ cool Westside. This lean site, at high elevation and planted on shale and limestone soils, produces deeply-colored, robustly flavored wines that display elements of saddle-leather and blackberry, with firm but supple tannins. The young wine was barreled immediately after pressing into a combination of 70% French and 30% American oak, 40% of which was new. During the 20-month residence in barrel, the wine was minimally handled, and it was bottled unfined and unfiltered in late summer of 2006. 352 cases produced.

2004 Merlot, Central Coast
Our first-ever release of this fine wine was grown at Alamo Creek Vineyard in southern San Luis Obispo County, on cool cobblestone alluvial soils where ripening is slow, steady and complete. Ultra-tiny berries on loose clusters yielded a small crop of inky-black fruit. Silver Stone 2004 Merlot was barrel-aged for two years in a combination of French and American oak, lending a toasty-vanilla character to the black cherry and red plum fruit flavors that gradually emerge from the glass. Dark and intensely concentrated, this stylish Merlot is destined to age gracefully for many years to come. 153 cases produced.
